Oooooh sounds good, yeah? Pop on over to Cooking Cakes & Children for the recipe. You may notice my name there too – yes I was picked last month to receive the fab prize of The Great British Book of Baking! It is a great book, can’t wait to try out all the recipes.
I had planned to make my Fudgy Chocolate Pudding on Sunday night after a nice Sunday dinner while watching X Factor. We had our Sunday dinner OK. I made up the chocolate pudding and cleaned up the kitchen while it was in the oven. I went back after 45 minutes or so and realised I had turned the oven off at the wall while I was cleaning up. DUH! It was after 9pm by this stage and I could have cried… I just wanted my fudgy chocolate pudding
… So I turned the oven back on, and of course I didn’t know how much cooking time it had already had lol… The end result was a slightly burnt on top pudding but at least it didn’t taste burnt!
We finally got to watch X Factor and have our chocolate pudding just after 10pm! We had ours with ice cream AND cream…. so yummy!
And a special mention must go to Wagner, who was finally voted off the X Factor – hallelujah!!

Hi Nicola, just stumbled by your blog from a post you had on beaut.ie. It has passed by a nice few hours for me hearing all about what youve been up to! Great blog, you sounds like a lovely person! Keep up the good work.
Dee, Cork Irl.
Aww thank you so much! I hope you liked my picture of Cork when we visited it lol…;)
Oh YUM! I've got all the ingredients so really hope I can get around to making this tomorrow in the nick of time. I had a similar oven turning off crisis once with a lemon sponge cake – the panic I felt when I realised was hideous! Oh and yes it is just buttercream I do the sides of the cakes with, it's so easy and doesn't matter if it looks a bit messy
Oooh hope you get to make it in time!!
mmmm looks nommy even if it is a tad burnt!
Lol plenty of cream & fudgy sauce disguises it well!
