Silent Sunday – Mmm My Favourite!
Book Review – Talk To The Tail
Talk to The Tail by Tom Cox (Meg is grumpy cos I haven't written a book about her!) If you own cats you will know that they are real individuals - sometimes exasperating, sometimes cute-as-a-button but always entertaining! In this sequel to Under The Paw, Tom Cox continues his tales of cat ownership. I thought I was bad with 3 cats, but Tom has 6 to contend with! Cats aren't just balls of fluff that eat and sleep and sometimes bring you a dead mouse. They are like little people, each … [Read more...]
The Gallery – Expressions
Week 47 of The Gallery and the theme is Expressions. I chose to use one of our cats, Meg as my model for this! I followed her round most of the morning trying to get some good shots of her. And after some magic by Gary on photoshop (I have no idea how to use it!) here are some of her expressions: We have, from top left to right - michevious Meg, sleepy Meg, content Meg, alert Meg & grumpy Meg! Note to Jess & Jinx (my other 2 cats): I am not playing favourites here using Meg and … [Read more...]
Chester’s Big Adventure!
So, last Sunday we were invited down to Porthmadog in Wales by our dog trainer. We are interested in Chester being involved in the dog display team that travels around the country fairs, so it was an opportunity to introduce him to some of the equipment that they use. There were 10 other dogs there, but they all had some experience on the agility equipment and were a lot older than our wee Chester. Derek, the trainer explained to us that the dog display team was all about having fun and was … [Read more...]
The Gallery – Togetherness
Togetherness is the theme for this week's Gallery over at Sticky Fingers. Of course, it has to be the pups! They really have such a lovely bond. Little baby Holly absolutely adores her big brother. And while Chester pretends to bully her at times, you can tell he loves her too. He has started to whimper when we take him out in the car for his walks, and we like to think it is because he has left his baby sister behind. Although, Holly can go out into the big wide world from today for walks as … [Read more...]
Fresh Bread Bakeoff Competition
After my recent first attempt at making bread "properly" - by hand and not using a bread maker (as seen here in my Silent Sunday post) I have been on a bit of a bread baking spree. I absolutely love making my own bread now. I even love kneading it for nearly 15 minutes, I enjoy the pain in my arms lol... ;) I have tried wholemeal rolls and my favourite so far which was cheese, onion and sundried tomato bread... YUM! But I wanted to make something different to enter English Mum's Fresh … [Read more...]

Book Review – The Help
I absolutely love reading. I would far rather go to bed early and read a good book than watch TV. Although for some strange reason, I can only read at night before bed - if I try to read during the day I get so sleepy lol.. Maybe cos I'm used to reading before I fall asleep?! I have been wanting to do some book reviews on my blog for ages but had never gotten round to it. But I decided to start now! Plus I have joined a fab new bloggy book club, hosted by the lovely Gem at From Gem With Love. … [Read more...]
Puppy Love
I think it's time I updated you all with little Holly's progress. She is now just over 9 weeks old and we have had her for a week and a half. She unfortunately caught Chester's tummy bug so she was unwell for a few days but she is now back on form and is eating well again! I have found it so much easier bringing up a puppy 2nd time round - is it the same with babies?! I am so less stressed out as I know what to expect. She really is a little delight, she makes me happy every day. I love the … [Read more...]
