Yes, our little (now quite large) Chester pup is 1 year old today! I felt quite sad about it in a way as he is growing up so quickly. Is this how all you parents feel with your kiddies?!
Well we had a fun-filled day starting off with Holly coming inside with a chewed bird in her mouth… mega yuk… 
The 2 pups were then given a bath using their lovely kiwi & apple puppy shampoo (!) & brushed. And didn’t they look lovely? All cute & fluffy!
Cue the obligatory birthday photos (I’m so sad!):
I even made Chester a peanut butter & carrot doggy birthday cake. I tasted a bit of the mix – yum (don’t worry it was all human-edible ingredients!) and the cake itself and it was pretty good. I didn’t like the icing though (cream cheese & peanut butter). That is meant to be a doggy shape on the top of the cake using his dog food!
He also enjoyed his new birthday toy, although he had to share it with his little sister! 
And here is the very first picture we took of Chester when we went to see him when he was about 7 weeks old! Awwww

Ahh Happy Birthday Chester and yes the feeling for dogs growing up is totally the same for children. Tito is 4 next week and I am so upset that I am going away on his birthday for the night. Really sad about it!
