I was having a really blah day yesterday. I was thinking too much about things and getting myself really down. And yes there may have been tears involved. Usually when I get like this, I retire to bed and try to pretend the world doesn’t exist. However yesterday I decided to try something different.
I put Elton John’s Greatest Hits CD on very loud and pottered about my bedroom tidying and sorting out clothes. I love a bit of Elton! It really helped to lift my spirits. I was so energised I then went on to clean the bathroom!
I am thinking of making a compilation CD of feel-good songs that I can whack on whenever I’m feeling low.
What songs make you feel good? I love discovering new music & artists that I’ve never come across before, so make sure and leave me some suggestions!

Making a cd/playlist of mood lifting songs is a great idea – I always stick music on when I'm feeling low. I have different playlists and CDs for different moods – my best one being the 'I will NOT let the bastards get me down' version which I often play loud in the car on my way home from a bad day at work

Elton John was the first cassette I ever bought…Captain Fantastic & the Brown Dirt Cowboy. Mind you, like Mrs M, Benny & the Jets is a fave and Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting is another. The power of music is very strong!
