2012 Goals

Well, following on from my 20111 Achievements post I guess it is time to share some goals that I would like to accomplish in 2012. I have a sort of bleugh feeling about it all to be honest – just the feeling that things are never going to change. Yes, I ticked lots of things off my “I want to do list” last year but am I ultimately any happier? Hmm… maybe a little, but I guess having small goals like that is the only way to keep going.

OK so 2012 is the year that I will turn 30 (in March) but I am not going to try to make 30 goals – I don’t want to list things just for the sake of making up numbers.

1. I WILL get my blog re-designed.

2. I want to learn how to crochet.

3. I want to learn how to use my new sewing machine properly and make some fab things.

4. I will try and pay off as much credit card debt as I can.

5. I want to get involved with a local animal charity.

6. I would like to start selling cupcakes.

7. I will be more organised and pay all my bills on time (have ordered a fab Simon’s Cat desk diary).

8. I will use my purse and not lose my cards/money all over the place (just have to find my purse first!).

9. I need to increase my income (no “want to” about it).

10. Meet some new people and make some more friends.

11. Be a nicer person and say “I love you” more haha!

12. Increase my confidence in dealing with my “job” etc.

13. Have lots of fun playing & training with Chester & Holly our fab puppies.

Is it unlucky to have 13 goals? I’d better think of another one then…

14. Knit more things.

Think that’s about it! Here’s to 2012 *clinks glass of fabulous pink fizz* :)

Looks like a good list… I also NEED to increase my income, my hours were cut to 2 years ago 16hrs a week and it's just not enough – I've been trying to get more work ever since but it's not easy – I'm hoping this will be the year! I like the 'clean and simple' look going on with your blog, it's tidy and organised!

Well if you ever want to trade, I can teach you the basics of crochet if you can teach me the basics of knitting!

    HAPPY BLESSED NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
I think you have great resolutions. In the past all mine have ever been is "Stop bitting fingernails" 20 something years on I still haven achieved it.
Still I am as ever hopeful in thinking 2012 WILL be the year!
My resolutions this yr r slightly different from previous yrs. Mainly due 2the events that occured & that I went throu in 2011. Thus my contacts in my mobile phone list r decidedly smaller.
But as they say DECLUTTERING (of any sort) is GOOD 4 the SOUL!
    1. Be more positive & happier!
    2. Value my "true" friends & family. Spend more time with people who love me & vise versa
    3. Be more assertive/outgoing, less naive & also talk 2 people when Im feeling down.
    4. Learn to have more confidence in myself & believe in my abilities. I CAN do ANYTHING!
    5. Take more pride in my cottage & keep on top of all housework
    6. Declutter. Sell unwanted items on ebay etc
    7. Volunteer @ local Dogs Trust – I have already signed up 4!
    8. Get more excerise – no excuse – walking dogs!
    9. Cook/bake more – lol this will b an interesting one!
    10. Ha ha Stop bitting fingernails!

I have already started on some of my resolutions. I think the key is for each day 2take small steps in doing something I enjoy & that makes me feel good about myself.

I know I probably wont achieve all 10 resolutions but I think its good 2have a list that you put on paper & can look at each day so you are more focused on your goals & have an aim.

I doesnt matter if they dont all get done within 2012 because they are all on going goals to achieve.

Love your resolutions! Need some great websites with gorgeous crochet projects – just let me know. I don't think crochet is hard to learn. Give it a go! And also let usknow what you find out about sewing. I would love to use my machine, more, too!
Oh and the "sell cupcakes" and "earn more money" go pretty nice together, I think. Any ideas where to sell them?
    Have a great time,
    Tina

This is a great list! I'm sure you'll achieve everything on it! It's much better, I think, to set goals to try new things than to try and give things up. :D xx
