Last Friday night Sarah & I headed out for a nice quiet meal in La Tasca in Liverpool. I had been invited along to try out their new mini tapas and cocktail menu. Having never been to La Tasca before, I was looking forward to it. Gary didn’t fancy going as he didn’t think you could get a proper big meal at a tapas restaurant and he thought he would still be hungry after it!
Their new menu consists of a variety of “Tapitas” that are set up on the bar. They also have a fab 2 for 1 offer on their yummy cocktails (more on that later!). This new menu runs from 4-7pm Mon-Fri and is a great idea for after-work snacks & drinks.
We sampled some of the tapitas and were pretty impressed. On finding out that I was a vegetarian the chef prepared us a whole tray of special veggie ones as there was only 2 or 3 veggie choices on offer at the bar.
We had a very exuberant Spanish waitress who looked after us all night, bringing us more tapas choices and making sure we had at least 2 cocktails each at one time haha!
3 cocktails just for me…
Needless to say after sampling pretty much all their cocktails on the menu (which were yummy) we were pretty tipsy! And, I can report that we were both stuffed with all the lovely food – I will have to bring Gary next time!
Our waitress & a waiter in the Spanish Carmen dress haha
Thank you La Tasca for a lovely evening!
However, our little quiet meal was no more. We then decided to re-live our youth by heading to some of our old favourite spots in the cty including Modos, Alma de Cuba and even The Krazyhouse!
We had a great night out although we were both feeling a little delicate the next day..!
PS – Sorry for the blurry photos – new camera and too many cocktails don’t go well together..
