Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! Hope you all have a lovely long weekend, whatever you get up to. We are having a BBQ tonight so hopefully the weather will be good...! :) We had a massive thunder & lightening storm last night - did anyone else? I was more scared than the animals lol..! I thought I would share some pics of all our animals enjoying the sunshine: Chester caught relaxing on the sun lounger! Chester & Holly chill out Holly enjoying her bone Pretty Meg Jess enjoying … [Read more...]

The Gallery – Black & White

Happy Wednesday everyone! Gary & I are finally feeling nearly 100% again after our "return from holiday" bug lol. I've had tons of work to do on our website but hopefully normal posting will resume soon! In the meantime here are some pictures for Week 36 of The Gallery, where the theme is Black and White. I originally thought about getting a really nice, moody black and white image for this and I was desperately thinking of something black and white that I could photograph. But then, I … [Read more...]

No Fireworks For Us…

How was everyone's bonfire night? Did you go out to see any fireworks or did you stay inside like us? We did want to go and see our town's firework display but thought we'd better stay at home with the puppy in case he got scared. He was actually fine with them - he slept through most of it as he'd had a busy day and then we brought him into the living room with us. And as a special treat he got to lie across us on the sofa - he was so excited to be allowed up for once! :) I managed to get … [Read more...]

The Gallery – Here Come The Girls

It's Wednesday already - and another week of The Gallery at Tara's blog: Sticky Fingers. If you've never come   Gallery before, every week we are given a different prompt and we have to post some pictures related to it. This week's prompt is: Here Come The Girls! Pop over and see the other entries HERE! So, here are My Girls. They are the best little girls in the world (except when they are tearing after each other leaving mouthfuls of fluff behind). The black and white cat is Jess (4yrs 1 … [Read more...]

Feeling Broody…

....Over the last few weeks I have been increasingly broody. Not for a baby (hell, no) but for another new addition to the family. A kitten. Yes - another cat. That would bring our total to 4 permanent live-in cats plus 2 pop-in for food cats. I know, I know - I'm sad. I just love little furry cute bundles of fluff. We had 4 boxes of cat food that our cats turned their snooty noses up at - so we decided to give them to a cat charity. I knew that if I went to look at any baby kittens in need … [Read more...]

Don’t Forget About Us!

I realised that I have never introduced you to my 3 wonderful cats. Jess had a brief appearance in yesterday's Liver Cake post but they deserve so much more webtime than this! I have been worried that they have been feeling very left out since Chester the pup has arrived. They certainly haven't been getting as much attention and their cat flap has had to be locked so they don't come into the conservatory where Chester sleeps at night. They are mainly confined to upstairs and when they do … [Read more...]

My Elevator Pitch (or Lift Pitch for UK!)

Well I decided to take part in the ProBlogger Summer Challenge 31 Days to Build a Better Blog.  I reckon I need all the help I can get as I'm just starting out with my blog. Today's task was to write an elevator pitch for your blog explaining what it is all about.  So here goes... ...Welcome to my notebook! My house generally resembles feeding time at the zoo with 3 cats always in attendance (plus possibly 2 more from the neighbourhood) and not forgetting our new hyperactive puppy.  I … [Read more...]

Puppy’s 1st couple of days in pics…!

new puppy comes home

I was tired after my journey to my new home (45 minutes in some thing called a car!).  I didn't want to come out of my carrier as I had a blanket that smelt of my mummy & littermates.  Well, it did smell of them until I peed on it, and my new mummy had to wash it! . . . . . Me and my new Mummy Me with my new Daddy . I then met my new parents properly - they seem quite nice, I think I'll be able to wrap them round my little claws. . . . . . Fun in the garden … [Read more...]

It’s A Puppy Adventure…

Chester, our new springer spaniel puppy

...So we have finally taken the leap and decided that we are getting a puppy!  We have been talking about this now for months and originally we always said we would get a dog when we moved to out big new house in the country where there will be lots of room for it etc...  We then started looking at what breed of dog we would like (countless trips to the library to research!).  We decided on an English Springer Spaniel.  We originally thought of a Beagle but apparently they are much harder to … [Read more...]
